Explanatory note There has been very little research to determine what the views of women are in relation to pessary use. There are no validated questionnaires about symptoms and quality of life changes specific to pessary use available to be given to women. Women seeking help for the symtpoms of prolapse have not yet been asked by research what effect treatment with a pessary has on their psychological wellbeing.
