Priority 6 from the Healthcare Associated Infections Project
|UNCERTAINTY: How can we educate patients to look for clinical signs of HCAI? (Priority 6)
|JLA question ID
|Educating patients to look for HCAI will empower them in their communication with the healthcare professional and will improved shared-decision making. This will also allow early diagnosis of infection and allow treatment to be initiated early. There is uncertainty in how best to achieve this or how effective this might be.
