We are delighted to announce that the James Lind Alliance (JLA) is now an associate member of the Ensuring Value in Research Funder’s Forum (EViR), solidifying our mutual dedication to advancing the value of health-related research.

Established in 2017, the EViR brings together an international community of health research funders, providing a space for knowledge-sharing and collaboration between them. The goal is for the funders within the forum to maximise the likelihood of funding health-related research that benefits societies globally. By jointly identifying the most effective practices for ensuring that reliable, useful evidence is created, and then made accessible to those who need it, EViR aspires to prevent high-quality research from being wasted.

In Forum meetings so far, the group has shared learning from across the globe on topics such as patient and public involvement, the research reviewing process, research transparency, dissemination and implementation, and the use of AI in funding applications. The JLA is looking forward to contributing to the ongoing work of the Forum and drawing from our extensive experience in priority setting activities both in the UK and internationally.

The EViR Forum extends a warm invitation to organisations involved in funding health-related research or shaping funding policy to join this dynamic community. Membership offers access to invaluable resources, expertise, and opportunities for active participation in shaping the future trajectory of the Forum.

Together, we can continue to innovate, collaborate, and effect meaningful change in the realm of health-related research.
