Applicant details
Communication skills (5%)

Demonstration of high-level communication skills with a diverse range of stakeholders relevant to the JLA (e.g. clinicians and patients)  gained through a range of activities.

High-level chairing skills (10%)

Please provide an example of where you have chaired a meeting with a diverse range of participants and describe a situation where you have chaired a meeting where you have had to manage a sensitive situation and how it was handled. Please include details of the groups and number of people involved.  

High-level facilitation skills (10%)

Please describe your experience of facilitating meetings or workshops including examples where there have been a diverse range of participants, or any incidents that have required careful or sensitive management.  Please also tell us about your experience of facilitating groups online and any techniques you employ to ensure the experience is still interactive and inclusive for the participants.

Knowledge and experience (10%)

Please describe your knowledge and experience of the JLA priority setting process and any direct involvement with one or more PSPs, clearly stating your role and contribution and any experience of using the JLA Guidebook.

Project management skills (5%)
Availability and flexibility (5%)

The JLA works as a small, supportive team, taking collective and timely responsibility for decision making.  Please provide examples of where you have worked in this way.  We recognise that you may have other existing work that could be undertaken alongside JLA Activity if you become a JLA Adviser.  Please describe your current working patterns (if any) and how you would anticipate delivering JLA activity around any other work that you do.  

Additional Documentation (5%)

Please submit your CV which will be reviewed for relevance to the JLA Adviser role and provide the names and contact details of two referees who we may contact.

If invited to attend an interview, the interview will contribute a further 50% toward the final scores.
