The purpose of this Question Verification Form is to enable Priority Setting Partnerships (PSPs) to describe clearly how they checked that their questions were unanswered, before starting the interim prioritisation stage of the process.
The JLA requires PSPs to be transparent and accountable in defining their own scope and evidence checking process. This will enable researchers and other stakeholders to understand how individual PSPs decided that their questions were unanswered, and any limitations of their evidence checking.

Please describe the scope of the PSP
The scope of the IBD RPP is defined as:
- prevention
- treatment
- symptoms
- diagnosis
- living with IBD
- inclusive of Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and IBD unclassified
- paediatric and adult.
The IBD RPP will exclude from its scope questions about:
- microscopic colitis and other forms of inflammatory enteritis
- cause
- cure.

Due to the broad scope of the priority setting, only high quality evidence (meta-analysis, systematic reviews and high quality guidelines) was included. A specific search was conducted for each of the 120 indicative questions to identify relevant and topic specific evidence. Specialist clinicians on the Steering Group were consulted regarding their specialised topic area, e.g., a dietitian recommended high quality studies and guidelines for indicative questions related to nutrition and IBD.
